I’m a New York Ranger fan with an idea. I can’t say they come along that often but after watching the game Sunday night, I’m pretty sure this one will fit nicely in the hearts of my blue shirt comrades. I know that most of you saw the spectacle at the end of the 2nd period involving Dominic Moore and Sidney Crosby.

lastly, Henrik Lundqvist
happens to hit Crosby with a steady stream of water for a good 3 seconds.
I have no problem admitting
that I like watching Crosby play. Just like I love seeing Patrick Kane command
a game with awesome puck control or Bergeron play perfect two-way hockey. But
I’m not going to lie, this put a huge smile on my face. The fact that Lundqvist
completely denied the obvious made it even more comical.
The news broke Monday that he
was fined $5,000 for the face wash. I don’t know if it’s fair or not and I
really don’t care either way. 5k is nothing to one of the league’s top paid
goaltenders. My concern is in supporting my team and doing a good deed,
So here’s the idea. Let’s

and include a note in the “please explain” field referencing Lundqvist’s water

Not only do I feel good about
myself, but I’m quietly giving Hank the pat on the back he deserves for giving
everything he’s got. He may not always be the best goalie in the NHL, but he
sure did look it in the final two games against the Penguins. As we move on to
the next round, win or lose, I will stick by this team’s effort.
